Introduction to Arbitration

As part DIAC’s Arbitration Training Programme - Stage 1, Horizons & Co. Managing Partner Ali Al Zarooni will be speaking as part of the first session on day one, providing an introduction to arbitration alongside Ahmed Ibrahim of Ibrahim ADR and Faris Nasrallah, Head of Arbitration of Crescent Petroleum.

Ali will be covering ‘The role of state courts in arbitration’, within which he will explore the following:

• Appointment of arbitrators

• Challenges to arbitrators

• Interim measures

• Assistance in taking evidence

• Setting aside of awards

• Enforcement of awards 

This topic is part of a wide two day training event by DIAC on Stage 1(Basic Principles of Arbitration).
